Phoenix Eikon Based on FFXVI Design

So... I was pretty hyped (still am) not gonna lie, So I had the crazy idea of trying to draw the Phoenix eikon that appears on the recently revealed FFXVI trailer with my style. With not much reference to go on, I searched some anatomy on birds (for obvious reasons) and watched the trailer (specifically the part where the Phoenix appears) over and over again. After that, I print screen a handful of frames with the Phoenix on them, So I could analyze it better, and tried to see and understand as many details as I possibly could. I've assembled a big mood board with all the prints and quick descriptions about what I could gather from it's visual, like colors, or how the feathers get bigger or tinnier, etc. I'm not sure if I can post it here for copyright issues so that's why I'm describing this whole mess--I mean, the careful process here. Took me something around 20 hours to complete, and I can say for sure, that I've given my all on this one, so it can live up to the original. Thank you for bearing this whole text block XD

Repeating the process over the body. Each body part at a time. I try not to go back a lot and do thing from "bottom to top" to *try* giving it the feel of a slightly traditional art style. (I base it on sumi-e/ukyo-e and other Japanese art)
